IPL franchises celebrate 13th anniversary of India's historic bowl-out win over Pakistan in T20 World Cup 2007

The historic bowl-out win against Pakistan came on this day, September 14 in 2007.

The rivalry between India and Pakistan has produced some of the very intense cricket matches. But the one from T20 World Cup 2007 group stage has a special place in heart of Indian fans.

India started their T20 World Cup 2007 campaign by a victory against Pakistan which needed a tie-breaker to decided the winner. Their first match against Scotland was washed out by rain, and the second game was must-win.

India posted 141/9 batting first and restricted Pakistan at the same score which needed a bowl-out. In everyone's surprise, skipper MS Dhoni picked part-timers Robin Uthappa, Virender Sehwag, and spinner Harbhajan Singh to bowl in the tie-breaker.

Pakistan was going with their full-time bowlers in Shahid Afridi, Yasir Arafat, and Umar Gul,  but still couldn't managed to hit the stumps even once. India ended up winning the match in bowl-out by 3-0.
