Mohammad Shami, one of the best fast bowlers in the world is celebrating his 30th birthday today on 3rd September. Shami, who hails from Bengal, made his Test debut in 2013 during Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell series and picked a fifer on debut against the West Indies.

Currently, he is in UAE for the IPL 2020 where he will be leading the KXIP pace attack and has been one of the reasons for India’s dominance in Test cricket because of his contribution as part of the phenomenal pace quartet along with Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Umesh Yadav.

Shami is only the fifth Indian pacer to take five wickets in the fourth innings of a Test after Karsan Ghavri, Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, and Javagal Srinath. Shami is also India's second-highest wicket-taker at ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 and 2019.

He has 180 wickets in 49 Tests and 144 wickets in 77 ODI matches and is the second Indian bowler to take a hat-trick in World Cup, a feat he achieved against Afghanistan in the 2019 edition.

Today, as he celebrates his special day, Shami received wishes from his Indian teammates and Indian cricket fraternity as well on Twitter.
