Playing for Barbados Tridents against St Lucia Zouks, Rashid claimed two wickets and become the fastest bowler to take 300 scalps in T20 cricket.

In the same match, Rashid narrowly avoided a serious injury. During the second over of the Zouks' run-chase, a fielder threw the ball at Rashid and the latter didn't pay attention to it. The ball almost struck him on the abdomen area, but the leg-spinner managed to escape an injury.

The official handle of CPL posted a video of the incident on Twitter with the caption: “OUCH!! @rashidkhan_19 #CPL20”.

Reacting on it, Rashid wrote: "too close".

Coming to the match, Zouks defeated Tridents by seven wickets in a rain-marred affair.

Chasing the revised target of 47 in 5 overs, Zouks rode on Andre Fletcher’s unbeaten 16 to overhaul it with five balls to spare. Earlier, Barbados had posted 131/7 in 18.1 overs when the rain arrived. Opener Johnson Charles top-scored with 35 off 19 balls while skipper Jason Holder made 12-ball 27.
