BCCI posts about Suresh Raina's retirement 29 hours after his announcement; Twitterati furious

Raina had confirmed his retirement with an emotional post on social media.

Suresh Raina decided to hang his boots minutes after his friend and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate MS Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket. Raina, who last played for team India in 2018, made it official on social media with a post dedicated to everyone who was part of this journey.

After over 24 hours, BCCI finally made a post for Raina on its official social media account. Twitterati was furious with the delay made by BCCI to make a post for the World Cup winner.

A majority of the fans were upset with BCCI's Twitter account and they didn't spare them when the post finally came out at 11 pm on August 16. 

"NEWS: Attacking left-handed batsman Suresh Raina officially communicated to the BCCI on Sunday about his decision to retire from international cricket.

"BCCI wishes the southpaw the very best for his future endeavors.", they wrote on Twitter.
