India opener Shikhar Dhawan is back on the cricket field as he shared videos of himself batting against local players. Dhawan has been out of cricket due to a shoulder injury since the home ODIs against Australia earlier this year.
He then missed the tour to New Zealand but is supposed to play for Delhi Capitals whenever the IPL 2020 happens. The Coronavirus pandemic resulted in India going under complete lockdown since March 24. The restrictions were relaxed to a certain degree from June 1 and now many more relaxations have been provided to common people.

This includes sportspersons being allowed to train outside and it resulted in cricketers going back to an outdoor regimen with Shardul Thakur being the first BCCI contracted cricketer to get back to nets.
Now Shikhar Dhawan also returned to hitting the bowlers and getting back into his groove as he practiced at a local ground and shared the video on his Instagram reel.
“Love the sound of the ball on the willow,” he captioned the video.
