Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek have been admitted to the hospital after being tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
On late Saturday (July 11) night, the father-son duo shared the news of their diagnosis on Twitter.
"I have tested Covid positive. Shifted to Hospital. Family and staff undergone tests, results awaited. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested," Amitabh said in a tweet.
Abhishek wrote, "Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you."
As soon as the news broke out, social media got flooded with wishes for the Bachchan family's good health.
Former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi also wished speedy recovery to both the Bollywood actors.
“Best wishes for @SrBachchan and @juniorbachchan . Hope you recover well and soon,” Afridi tweeted.
It is worth mentioning here that Afridi was also tested positive for COVID-19 last month. But the former Pakistan all-rounder has now recovered from the deadly disease.
