Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has shared a heartfelt video to wish the “undisputed Dada of Indian Cricket” Sourav Ganguly, wishing him a very happy birthday on Wednesday (July 8).
As the former India captain and current BCCI President Ganguly turned 48 on Wednesday, the wishes came pouring in to wish the legendary cricketer across the planet on social media and Yuvraj went a step further to pay tribute to his “eternal captain” on his special day.

The legendary all-rounder made his debut for India under the captaincy of Ganguly in 2000 and went on to achieve several accolades and become one of the greatest match-winner for India, playing a major role in the Men in Blue’s 2007 T20 World Cup triumph and the 2011 World Cup glory.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, Yuvraj shared a video of him talking about Ganguly's immense contribution to Indian cricket, as well as, recalled some of his memories with the legendary Indian captain while hoping to become someone like him to inspire others.
He captioned the post: “Happy Birthday to the undisputed Dada of Indian Cricket. You have always led from the front, showing us what it means to be a true leader. I have learned a lot from you & hope to become to others what you are to me. You are our eternal captain @SGanguly99 #HappyBirthdayDada.”
In the video, Yuvraj can be seen saying: “This message is for our dear and eternal captain, Sourav Ganguly. Dada, it's your birthday. It's been a great journey under you. You were my biggest support. All of us youngsters needed support at the start.”
He added, “Thank you for that. I remember when you gave me the BCCI acknowledgment trophy for playing 300 ODIs in Edgbaston, I told you that day that without your support, this wouldn't have been possible. When you got familiar with me, Viru, Bhajji, Zak, Nehra, we played a lot of pranks on you.”
