Indian cricket fraternity wishes three-time ICC trophy winner MS Dhoni a happy 39th birthday

MS Dhoni turns 39Former India captain and winner of all the three ICC trophies, MS Dhoni is celebrating his 39th birthday today. Dhoni, who made his debut in 2004, played his last international match to date in the 2019 World Cup against New Zealand in the semis.

He was supposed to return to action with the IPL 2020 to stake a claim in the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup, but Coronavirus pandemic has put a spanner in the plans for both the tournaments. Hence Dhoni has been spending time with wife Sakshi, daughter Ziva, and his family at his Ranchi farmhouse.

He has 4876 runs with 6 centuries to his name in 90 Tests and has made 10773 runs in 350 ODIs with 10 centuries with an average of 50.6. His best score in Tests is 224 and in ODIs is 183*. He also made 1617 runs in 98 T20Is with 2 fifties. He retired from Test cricket in 2014 and captained India from 2007-2017.

All of his fans and even teammates are waiting for his return on the field and question mark still hangs on his international career. However, on July 7, only one thing was visible on social media and that was wishes for ‘Thala’, as he turned 39.
