Indian captain Virat Kohli, who is famous around the cricketing world for being a fitness freak, on Thursday (July 2) showed why he is admired so much by fellow cricketers. Impressed by all-rounder Hardik Pandya's 'fly push ups', the Delhi-born batting star replicated the exercise and took it to the next level by adding a 'clap' twist to it.
Kohli posted the video on Twitter, where he can be seen moving forward and backward while doing the push ups. He wrote, "Hey H @hardikpandya7 loved your fly push ups. Here's adding a little clap to it."
Hardik Pandya had earlier posted his workout video on Twitter and challenged his brother Krunal Pandya. "Stronger. Fitter. Still under construction @krunalpandya24, I challenge you bhai! Let’s see how many you can do #PandyaBrothers"
The impact of fitness can be seen in Indian cricket since Virat took over the captaincy as the team now boasts of some of the best fielders in the world and the fast bowlers in particular have shown the kind of stamina one needs to keep running in and bowl at high speeds through the day and for the duration of the game in the longest format.

Indian team has not returned to action after the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, it's been almost four months since they played their last international fixture in New Zealand. Most of the players have been forced to be indoors with the nationwide lockdown in place since late March. With a bit more relaxation in place, few of the players have now begun to train outdoors but a training camp remains far away.
BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly had recently confirmed that there won't be any camp for the national side at least until August. It remains to be seen when and where the Virat Kohli-led side will resume their on-field battles.
