Fans throw stats as ‘Ravindra Jadeja vs Krunal Pandya’ trends on Twitter

Jadeja has represented India in more than 250 games while Krunal has played only 18 T20Is.

Ravindra Jadeja | AFPCricket fraternity on Monday (June 29) came to know the strength of Ravindra Jadeja’s fanclub on Twitter.

Even though there is no cricket going on these days due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Indian all-rounder started trending on the micro-blogging site, with fans sharing the herculean performances from his international career.

When observed closely, it was found that an online debate over 'who is better', Ravindra Jadeja or Krunal Pandya had popped up.

Having made his debut in 2009, Jadeja has represented India in 49 Tests, 165 ODIs, 49 T20Is so far and his fans threw stats to prove why he is better than Krunal as well as his brother Hardik Pandya.

Fans also recalled Jadeja’s heroics in the World Cup 2019 semi-final against New Zealand at Old Trafford, where he smashed 59-ball 77 and brought India to a brink of historic victory.

Fans came up with his fielding stats too while some shared the old tweets of former India skipper MS Dhoni calling Ravindra Jadeja a 'Sir'.

Given that Krunal Pandya made his India debut in 2018 and featured in only 18 T20Is thus far, it is unfair to compare his stats with a seasoned campaigner like Jadeja. Even if we talk of Indian Premier League, Jadeja has appeared in 170 matches while Krunal has played 55 games.

The only reason for this debate can be because of their similar role in the team i.e. spin-bowling all-rounder.
