Indian cricketers raise their voice over custodial death of father-son duo in Tamil Nadu

Jayaraj and Bennicks reportedly died due to police brutality earlier this week.

P Jayaraj and his son Beniks were arrested last Monday (June 22) for keeping their mobile phone shop open beyond permitted hours amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

A couple of days later, they died due to police brutality. Eyewitnesses claim that the cops inserted metal objects into one of the victims' rectum.

The entire country is still struggling to come to terms with the torture inflicted on Jayaraj and Beniks. People are demanding answers and want strong action to be taken against the cops who committed this heinous crime.

The hashtags #JusticeForJayarajAndBennix and #JusticeForJayarajAndFenix have been trending on all social media platforms for the last couple of days.

Indian cricketers have also raised their voice against the atrocities committed by the police.
