MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja is a winning combination whether it is for India or for the Chennai Super Kings franchise in the IPL. The duo has scripted many wins for both teams, but their partnership in IPL flourished for the Yellow Army.
Jadeja was bought by CSK in IPL 2012 and since then he has become a vital cog in Dhoni’s plans for the franchise. He has 81 wickets in the yellow jersey and in the past two seasons of the tournament in 2018 and 2019, he played some vital knocks with the ball as well.
The CSK team was preparing for the IPL 2020 at the Chepauk before the Coronavirus pandemic led to the Indian government putting the whole country in an extended lockdown. This has lengthened the wait for the franchise fans to watch MS Dhoni back in action.
Syed Kirmani retells the story of how MS Dhoni was spotted and selected
Dhoni has not played any cricket since India was eliminated from the ICC World Cup 2019 in the semis, despite valiant batting efforts from him and Jadeja. It was supposed to be the big comeback for the 38-year-old three-time IPL winning captain, but now all plans stand postponed.
This hasn’t stopped Ravindra Jadeja from getting onto social media and posting funny things about his teammates. Earlier it was Virat Kohli and DRS and now he has come up with a poetic post for his CSK skipper MS Dhoni.
He posted a photo of Dhoni looking at a poster of Jadeja while walking in a lobby of a hotel. “Tumhari nazron mein humne dekha ... ajab si chhahat jalak rahi hai????@mahi7781 #bigbrother #rajputboys,” he wrote for Dhoni.
