The elephant's death has shaken many celebrities from all walks of life.

Pregnant Elephant who passed away in Kerala

Indian captain Virat Kohli lead the way as the cricketers mourned the death of a pregnant elephant who died in Kerala after it ate a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers. The elephant passed away in a standing position in a river, perhaps trying to find some relief from the unbearable pain in her mouth.

The police have launched a probe to catch the culprits and have filed a First Information Report (FIR).

Officials suspect that the elephant ate the fruit either in the end of April or the beginning of May. "We don't know when the incident happened. But because of the starvation and shrinking of the elephant, we suspect that it would have happened around 20 days ago," forest officer Aashique Ali U told NDTV.

The death of the elephant has disturbed people and celebrities alike, with thousands calling for strong action against the perpetrators. Indian cricketers also felt the pain of the innocent animal and asked for people to be more considerate towards animals.
