Dinesh Karthik receives wishes from Indian cricket fraternity as he turns 35

Dinesh Karthik has played 26 Tests, 94 ODIs and 32 T20Is for India since his debut in 2004.

Dinesh Karthik | AFPIndia wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik is celebrating his 35th birthday today on June 1, 2020. The Tamil Nadu born made his India debut way back in 2004 against Australia.

Despite a good run with the Indian team when they were looking for a consistent glovesman, Karthik fell through the ranks once MS Dhoni arrived on the scene, but Karthik kept reinventing himself, even opening the innings in Test matches.

He kept returning to the Indian team and earned immortality in form of his amazing cameo in the finals of the Nidahas Trophy tri-series 2018 in Sri Lanka. He made 29* in 8 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours to his name, winning the match and the tournament for his team from a very difficult position.

He has played for multiple teams in IPL as well and currently leads the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise, since 2018. If not for the Coronavirus pandemic, Karthik would have captained KKR in IPL 2020. One of the best teammates one can have and a bundle of energy, a brilliant fielder anywhere and a batsman with all skills to hit and defend, Karthik is much loved by his teammates.

Today, as he celebrates his 35th birthday, Karthik received a host of wishes from his teammates in the Indian team and we have sorted out some of the tweets for you.
