Former India batsman Yuvraj Singh is known for his penchant of hitting big sixes and who better than Stuart Broad to testify for the same. However, the left-hander made hitting sixes look elegant and regal.
Yuvraj Singh featured in 304 ODIs for the country and scored 8,701 runs within an average of 36.55. In T20Is, Yuvraj played 59 matches for India and scored 1177 runs averaging 28.02 with a strike rate of 136.38.
Yuvraj, who announced his retirement from cricket in June 2019, was a big part of the Indian Premier League right from the start and twice was the most expensive Indian player sold in the auctions. He won the IPL title for the first time with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.
“Destiny made Dhoni captain; Yuvraj was supposed to lead India,” says Yograj Singh
Meanwhile, going the nostalgic route, Yuvraj Singh recently shared a video of him hitting Kolkata Knight Riders’ Chris Woakes for a super six over the covers region, off the back foot. He posted the video on Instagram with a caption reading,” This has to be one of my favorite shots in my career I have played! A very difficult shot to hit for a six over covers to a fast bowler"
