On Saturday (May 2), former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri took a trip down the memory lane and shared nostalgic pictures on Twitter.

In the throwback photographs, the current India head coach can be seen alongside West Indies batting giant Sir Vivian Richards and fast bowling legend Malcolm Marshall.

"Brothers in arms. The best I played against. Privilege and honour - with Malcolm Denzil Marshall and Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards," Shastri wrote in the caption.

Richards is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen to have played the game of cricket. He represented West Indies in 121 Tests, scoring 8,540 runs at 50.23 with the help of 24 centuries and 45 fifties. Viv also proved his mettle in white-ball cricket, amassing 6721 ODI runs from 187 games at a remarkable average and strike-rate of 47 and 90.20 respectively.

Marshall, on the other hand, played 81 Tests and 136 ODIs in which he claimed 376 and 157 wickets respectively.

Before coaching India and making a name for himself as an esteemed commentator, Shastri also represented his country in 80 Tests and 151 ODIs. While he scored 3,830 and 3,108 runs in Tests and ODIs respectively, he picked up 151 and 129 scalps in each of the formats.
