Suresh Raina goes back to the knock which is 'one of his best moments' for India

Raina is still eyeing a comeback to the side after being axed for a while.

Suresh Raina was the first Indian batsman to score a hundred in T20I cricket. He smashed 101 in 60 deliveries against South Africa during T20 World Cup 2010 on this very day (May 2).

The southpaw called the innings one of the most memorable moments. Raina said whenever he walked out in the field, the thought was always to give his 100%.

"One of the most memorable moments for me. Scoring a first-ever T20i century for my country undoubtedly filled me with a lot of confidence, energy & a never ending zest of giving my 100% to my game every time I’m on the field.", he wrote on Twitter.

Raina, India's number 3 batsman at that time, had to come out early after Murali Vijay's dismissal on the second ball of the innings. Even Dinesh Karthik, the other opener, got out inside powerplay. India was 32/2 when Yuvraj Singh walked out to bat.

Yuvraj and Raina put up a partnership of 88 runs to give India a platform to capitalize. It was Raina who scored most of the runs in the partnership, as Yuvraj walked back at 37 off 30 deliveries. India put up a total of 186/5 and eventually won the match by 14 runs after restricting South Africa to 172/5.
