New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham is famous for his witty tweets on Twitter. He puts his sense of humor on display on the micro-blogging site even while dealing with the trolls.

The Kiwi all-rounder revealed about a face-off against Australia pacer Mitchell Starc. He had given the Aussie a hilarious response after being sledged.

Neesham joined the Marc Peard Sports Daily Debrief Facebook show where he talked about the incident. It happened during Australia and New Zealand's encounter back in 2015 at the Gabba.

The Blackcaps all-rounder was out to bat after his side was four wickets. They needed another 339 runs to win and it was a game to be played for a draw from New Zealand's side.

Starc, who was in good rhythm, tried to get under the skin of Neesham, but he got his sledge wrong. "I came out to bat and Mitchell Starc, who was bowling thunderbolts, came up to me and said 'bit early for a night watchman isn't it?'," Neesham said.

The Australia speedster was indicating that Jimmy should be batting way below the batting order with the tailenders. Neesham pointed out the mistake in his sledge and gave a hilarious response. "I turned to him and said 'mate it's day five. There's no night. This is it'," he said.

The Kiwi may have won the exchange of words, but he was soon dismissed by Mitchell Johnson. New Zealand lost that match by 208 runs.
