India’s star opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and wife Ayesha has on Monday (April 27) come out with a video of the two to send an important message regarding the domestic violence.
While India continues to fight the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, reports of domestic violence have also come out a lot more in recent times amid the COVID-19 lockdown.
Like others, Dhawan is also staying at home with his family during the lockdown period and he was disappointed to hear about the domestic violence cases in the current generation and even when the entire world is fighting for life against the deadly virus.
Taking to Twitter on Monday, the southpaw shared a video with his wife – where the couple can be seen practicing boxing moves and said he is truly disheartened and sad to hear about domestic violence still existing in today's time.
The left-handed opener has also urged all to put an end to this social evil by choosing the right partner for themselves, suggesting people to opt for a “kind and loving partnership and say no to violence”.
Dhawan captioned the post: “While I enjoy my time at home with my loving family, I am truly disheartened and sad to hear about domestic violence still existing in today’s time and we need to put an end to it. Choose a kind and loving partnership and say no to violence,”
