Sachin Tendulkar recalls his bowling brilliance in 1993 Hero Cup semi-final against South Africa

On Monday (April 20), the official Twitter handle of International Cricket Council (ICC) enlisted some of the best performers in cricket at the age of 20.

As expected, the list also featured the name of certain Sachin Tendulkar, who had piled up 4132 runs from 108 matches at an average of 50.57 with 7 centuries by the age of 20.

Reacting to the post, the Indian batting legend also reminded ICC of his bowling achievements at the age of 20.

Tendulkar, who made his international debut as a 16-year-old in 1989, pointed out his brilliant performance in the 1993 Hero Cup semi-final clash against South Africa at Eden Gardens, where he had defended 6 runs in the final over.

“Also bowled a fun last over in a semi-final match against South Africa at Eden Gardens! What a high pressure match that was, ICC,” he tweeted.

While the Master Blaster has 34357 international runs including 100 international centuries to his name, he also did wonders with the ball on numerous occasions during his illustrious career.

In 463 ODIs, Sachin Tendulkar claimed 154 wickets while he took 46 scalps from 200 Tests. Tendulkar also picked up a sole wicket in the one T20I that he played.
