Pacer Mohammad Shami on Tuesday (April 21) revealed that Test No.3 Cheteshwar Pujara faces up against him the best among Indian batsmen during net sessions.
Pujara's patience and ability to leave balls outside the off-stump, says Shami, makes bowlers bowl to his body, and then he feeds off them through the on-side.
The 29-year-old heaped praise on his teammate in the longer version while in a live chat session over Instagram with out-of-favour India and Bengal batsman Manoj Tiwary.

"Cheteshwar Pujara plays me the best during net sessions, he is a very dedicated player, and he hates getting dismissed during net sessions, whenever he is batting, the bowler gets the idea about how much you are drifting away from the off stump," said Shami when Tiwary asked him to name the batsman who plays him the best in the nets.
Since his debut in 2010, Pujara has played 77 Tests for India with 5,840 runs at an average of 48.67, including 18 hundreds.
Shami, on his part, would've been hoping to turn up for Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in IPL 2020, but the league's 13th edition remains suspended because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The deadly outbreak, which has brought the world to a standstill, kickstarted from the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year and has since then infected more than 23 lakh people, claiming over 1.6 lakh lives.
