PM Modi urges citizens to be a part of BCCI’s “Team Mask Force”

The BCCI is leaving no stone unturned to help the government in its fight against Coronavirus outbreak.

BCCI created a video in which current and former cricketers were seen talking about the importance of wearing masksImpressed with BCCI’s “Team Mask Force” initiative which promotes the idea of wearing masks to avoid COVID-19 pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the citizens to be a part of it.

Taking to Twitter, PM Modi hailed BCCI’s decision to start this awareness campaign.

"Among the most important tasks today -- be a part of #TeamMaskForce. Small but essential precautions can keep us all safe. Important to spread awareness about it..." the Prime Minister tweeted.

The BCCI is leaving no stone unturned to help the government in its fight against Coronavirus outbreak.

On Saturday (April 18), the Indian board created a new video in which current and former cricket stars were seen talking about the importance of wearing masks.

Last month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India had donated Rs 51 crore to the Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund (PM-CARES Fund) to strengthen the country's fight against Coronavirus.

As of April 19, the COVID-19 cases in India has crossed 15,700 with 507 fatalities. Globally, the pandemic has claimed more than 160,700 lives and infected in excess of 2,332,400 people thus far.
