WATCH - Virender Sehwag shows gratitude towards Corona Warriors, shares important message with all

As India continues to fight the Coronavirus pandemic, legendary Indian batsman Virender Sehwag took to social media on Sunday (April 12) to applaud the “Corona Warriors” who are risking their lives to save the people from the deadly disease caused by the novel COVID-19.

Sehwag further went on to urge all to follow the government directives, saying hardships is not being confined to home or not being able to go shopping, but what the frontline workers are doing to keep us safe every day even without thinking about their own lives amid the COVID-19 lockdown.

With the number of coronavirus infections and deaths rapidly rising in the country, the government has extended the countrywide lockdown till the 30th of April to tackle the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Sehwag has posted a video of himself to thank all the frontline workers including doctors, nurses, police personnel, sanitation workers, and essential suppliers who are all serving the countrymen in this crisis and urged all to abide by government directives.

Sehwag said in a video: “We are not able to get out of our homes, we are not able to go for morning walks, we are not able to go to shopping malls, if you think these are hardships, then I have to say, you have not seen real hardships in life, the doctor, nurses, police are not worrying for their lives and they are making sure that we are safe. They have put their lives at risk. I would just like to tell you to stay safe and abide by whatever the state and central government has asked you to do.”

Noteworthy, the total number of coronavirus cases in India reached 9152, including 857 cured with 308 death till Monday (April 13), according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
