"Cleaning the garage out today and came across my arsenal of weapons over the years. My favourite was 2nd from the end on the right. Note my Symonds Super Tusker thought it was ripper in the day but looks like a plank," Waugh tweeted.

Soon after Mark Waugh's post, a fan requested Kumar Sangakkara, Sourav Ganguly and Sir Vivian Richards to share pictures of the willows that they used during their playing days.

"Would be so cool to see the bats used by the retired batmen from all over. Bats used by the likes of @ivivianrichards to @SGanguly99 Can any of them start this challenge and share. Would love to see bats of @KumarSanga2 used for that magical coverdrive. Thank you @juniorwaugh349," the fan’s tweet read.

Sangakkara, who scored 12400 Test runs, 14234 ODI runs and 1382 T20I runs for his country, replied to the fan and said that he has given away all the bats which he used in his illustrious career.

"I would love to post some pics but unfortunately I have no bats at home. None that I have used in my career. Given them all away," Sangakkara wrote.

Just like everyone in the cricket fraternity, Kumar Sangakkara is currently spending time at home amid the Coronavirus pandemic. Last month, he was on self-isolation after returning from UK in order to avoid potential COVID-19 spread.

Recently, the southpaw posted a few videos on Instagram, urging his fans to practice social distancing to curb the spread of this deadly virus.
