Shoaib Akhtar slammed by Indian fans for requesting 10,000 ventilators for Pakistan

Akhtar had proposed a 3-match ODI series between India and Pakistan to raise funds to fight COVID 19.

Shoaib Akhtar had taken a dig at India using KashmirPakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has been known for making comments and statements with regards to India, which has garnered him lots of attention. Be this in form of him showing love for the country or his slight jibes at the India-Pakistan tension over Kashmir.

With the whole world including these two Asian giants fighting against the Coronavirus outbreak, Shoaib Akhtar recently suggested that India and Pakistan should play a series of three ODIs in order to raise funds for the fight against this deadly virus. India had the outbreak under control until a few days ago, while Pakistan is struggling to come to terms with this deadly disease.

"Desperate times call for desperate measures. These are not normal circumstances. The three ODIs can be played anywhere. There isn't anyone who does not want to watch the series. This could be a very big service for humanity," said Akhtar on his YouTube channel.

India has recorded 228 deaths with more than 6,700 positive cases, while Pakistan has over 4,600 cases with 66 deaths.  This has led to Shoaib also suggesting that India should donate Pakistan 10,000 ventilators, a gesture that the Pakistanis will never forget.

If India can make 10,000 ventilators for us, Pakistan will remember this gesture forever. But we can only propose the matches. The rest is up to the authorities (to decide),” the former Pakistan pacer had said on his YouTube channel.

However, the Indian fans were quick to rebuke Akhtar on social media site Twitter and reminded him of his tweet when he used Kashmir to remind the world about lockdown. Many of the fans taunted Shoaib Akhtar and Pakistan for their previous deeds and we have collated some for you.
