Indian cricketers share their participation in PM Modi’s call to light candles at 9 pm on April 5

PM Modi had asked the nation to switch off lights at 9pm and light candles, diyas and mobile flashlights.

He had requested the whole nation to switch off all lights in their homes and light up diyas, candles or mobile flashlights to bring positivity and thank the work done by medical staff and essentials workers in this trying time of Coronavirus pandemic.

India is currently half-way through its 21-day lockdown which was enforced on March 24 to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus throughout the country which has killed over 75 patients and has affected over 3,000.

Earlier, Modiji had asked the country to observe Janta Curfew on March 22 and clap and beat utensils to say thanks to all medical workers and essential staff that was working despite dangerous conditions.

Even cricketers showed immense support to that initiative and today on April 5, took to Twitter to show their participation in his new initiative.
