Brad Hogg has pointed out the differences between two legendary battles, ‘Tendulkar vs McGrath’ and ‘Tendulkar vs Akhtar’.

Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar faced the mightiest of bowlers at their peak during his 24-year-long international career and dominated almost all of them. The most legendary rivalries of his were up against the best bowlers from the opposition. The most successful leg-spinner of his era, Shane Warne, even light-heartedly claimed of getting nightmares of Tendulkar hitting him all over the park.

Two other battles that stood out were ‘Sachin Tendulkar vs Glenn McGrath’ and ‘Sachin Tendulkar vs Shoaib Akhtar’. While McGrath kept nagging Tendulkar outside the off-stump with incredible accuracy, Akhtar tried to bowl over the Indian with sheer pace. In short, both bowlers had very different skillsets.

A Twitter user asked former Australian chinaman bowler Brad Hogg which battle did he enjoy the most.

Hogg replied saying, “Sachin v McGrath a war of attrition McGrath trying to win the patience game, your in for the long haul. Sachin v Akhtar more erratic, with Akhtar trying to blast the him out with sheer pace + it's India v Pak, which adds a little more spice to the contest. 2nd one.
