As the growing Coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns force many countries to go into the lockdown, former Australian cricketer Brad Hogg, like other sportspersons, is making the most of this time by interacting with his fans on social media.

In the past few days, the Aussie leg-spinner had numerous Q/A sessions with his Twitter fans since there is no cricket right now because of the Coronavirus pandemic and now he has come up with his best Indian Premier League (IPL) hard-hitters list in the powerplay on the micro-blogging site.

Noteworthy, the IPL has revolutionized franchise cricket all around the world, producing a lot of talent not only for India but for the number of top cricket-playing nations and become the hot choice for the cricket world with players earning millions of dollars for their participation.

Well, the future of the 2020 edition of the IPL is in danger and even the chances of a curtailed tournament seem bleak given the current rising COVID-19 threat, but Hogg has continued to keep alive the T20 cricket league on social media with his posts.

On Saturday, March 28, Hogg shared a video of himself on Twitter revealing his three best IPL batsmen in the powerplay and to much surprise, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Chris Gayle are not in his list.

He picked India’s Suresh Raina (Chennai Super Kings), Australia’s David Warner (Sunrisers Hyderabad), and England’s Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals) as his best batsmen in the IPL powerplay.

In the video, he also explained why he choose these three, saying Warner is strong on both sides of the field while his abilities with diligent running between the wickets forced him to go for him.

He further explained why he picked Raina – because of his ability to pick specific bowlers to target and revive CSK’s innings when they are in trouble, and Buttler –  for his innovative shots.
