As India continues to fight against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the countrywide “Janta Curfew” – an initiative by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supported by the entire nation and proved that they are together in this fight by coming together as a nation on Sunday (March 22).
He appealed the entire nation to support the “Janta Curfew” – which was scheduled from 7 am to till 9 pm on Sunday in order to fight the rapidly-spreading virus and applaud the corona warriors – doctors, nurses, hospital staff, sanitation workers, airlines employees, government staff, police personnel, media people, people associated with train-bus-auto rickshaw services and home delivery agents.

With the outbreak of deadly Coronavirus taking a horrifying turn in India as the COVID-19 cases jumped to 396 in the country, the nationwide self-imposed “Janata curfew” welcomed enormously by all the citizens of the country as an effort to avert the spread of the deadly coronavirus in India.
As the “Janata Curfew” got an unbelievable success, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has heaped praise on his fellow citizens for coming together as a nation even while staying at home and showing support to those who are working overtime to fight the deadly COVID-19.
Taking to Twitter, Tendulkar wrote: “Today India came together even while staying in our homes. While we are at home there are many who are selflessly performing their duties. Thank you to each one of you for putting us before yourself. The discipline and commitment we showed today need to continue.”
The 46-year old shared a video of himself where he can be seen clapping hands to thank the corona warriors for their selfless services towards the citizens in this crisis.
