Scotland cricketer Majid Haq tests positive for coronavirus

The recent outbreak of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, there has been a lot of panic amongst the people. While some people were found running away from quarantine after being tested positive for the virus, former Scotland off-spinner Majid Haq, on the other hand, announced him being tested positive for coronavirus on Twitter.

Looking forward to potentially getting back home today after testing positive with Coronavirus. Staff at the RAH in Paisley have been good to me & thank you to everyone who has sent me messages of support. Insha Allah the Panther will be back to full health soon,” he wrote in a Tweet.

According to the UK government, there have been about 266 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Scotland, whereas the total number of affected people in the United Kingdom as of 19 March is 3269.

This outbreak has also affected a lot of sporting activities as some of them were postponed or some were played behind closed doors. Even the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League was postponed from 29 March to 15 April.
