WATCH - Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli enter self-isolation; appeal to people to take necessary measures

COVID-19 has become a serious threat in the country and people are isolating themselves.

India's cricket captain Virat Kohli and his wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma made a video to spread awareness about the self-isolation in his situation of COVID-19 pandemic. 

They made a joint appeal to their fans and followers and posted the video on Twitter. Anushka wrote, "Stay Home. Stay Safe. Stay Healthy."

"We all know we are going through a very difficult time," Kohli said. Anushka added, "And the only way to stop the spread of Coronavirus is by acting together."

Continuing where her wife left, Kohli further said, "We are staying at home for our safety and for everyone else's one." Anushka later said, "You should do it too to prevent the further spread of the virus."

"Let's make it safe for us and everyone else by self-isolation," said Kohli while Anushka ended the video saying, "stay at home and stay healthy."

Kohli also shared the video on his timeline. He quoted Anushka's tweet and wrote, "The need of the hour is to absolutely respect and follow the government's directive. Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy. ????????".

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi had addressed the nation on Thursday evening. He told people to follow 'Janta Curfew' and not go out on Sunday to stop the virus from spreading.
