With the rising number of Coronavirus cases in India and across the globe, common folks are taking all sorts of precautionary measures.

Most of the sporting events have been either cancelled or rescheduled while the businesses and trading have also taken a massive blow.

The circumstance is such that people are trying to stay indoors for the maximum amount of time. However, India’s seasoned off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin on Sunday (March 15) pointed out that this is not the case in Chennai.

He also took a dig at the people of Chennai for not taking social distancing seriously amid the COVID-19 outbreak, which has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

"Let me rephrase it, social distancing doesn't seem to have caught the attention of the people in Chennai yet. The only reason could be their belief in the summer to curtail it or just faith that nothing will happen. #Coronaindia," Ashwin tweeted.

As of Sunday (March 15), 107 people in India have been tested positive for Coronavirus. In Kerala alone, the total number of confirmed cases stood at 21. Moreover, two patients have already lost their lives in India – one from Delhi and the other from Karnataka.
