Australia skipper Aaron Finch escaped from two Decision Review System (DRS) blunders during the first ODI against New Zealand at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) on Friday. Finch, who scored 60 runs, was out twice before dismissed, but the Kiwis decided not to take reviews.

On the first occasion, Trent Boult surprised Finch with a bouncer in the third over. He had edged the ball, and bowler Boult, and wicket-keeper Tom Latham, both looked confident. However, Kane Williamson opted not to go for DRS after umpire gave it not out.
Finch was at just three runs at that stage. Replays showed that there was indeed a thin edge.
Another such moment came in the match during the 13th over. Finch, batting at 23, was trapped in front of the stumps by spinner Mitchell Santner. He was given not out, and the visitors didn't go for the review again. Another horrendous call as replays showed he was out.
Finch finally got dismissed in the 29 over of the match after a half-century. Australia scored 258/7 in 50 overs. In reply, New Zealand was bowled out for 187.
