Jacques Kallis becomes proud father of a baby boy, reveals baby's name

Legendary South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis and his wife Charlene Engels have welcomed their first child to their family, as the couple was blessed with a baby boy on March 11 (Wednesday).

Kallis broke the news of the arrival of the newborn on social media on Wednesday.

Taking to Twitter, the Proteas legend shared a beautiful picture of the trio and announced that he became a proud father of Joshua Henry Kallis – the name of the newborns on Wednesday.

He captioned the post, “Welcome to the world Joshua Henry Kallis. Most incredible day of both our lives. Hearts exploding with love. Truely blessed ⁦”

The couple tied the knot in January 2019 after dating each other for a long time while she first revealed the news of her pregnancy on 16 October, on Jacques' forty-fourth birthday – their fifth year as a couple.

Noteworthy, Jacques retired from international cricket in 2014, and since then, the 44-year-old has been involved with cricket in various roles, as he played his role in the success of Sydney Thunder in Big Bash League, Kolkata Knight Riders in Indian Premier League and Trinidad & Tobago in the Caribbean Premier League. He is now serving as the batting consultant of South Africa.
