Indian Cricket Fraternity wishes the nation on colorful occasion of Holi

Cricketers wished Happy Holi to their fans and countrypeople.

Happy HoliToday, the whole of India and many other parts of the world are celebrating the colorful festival of Holi. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, and the end of winter in India.

In recent years the festival has spread to parts of Europe and North America as a spring celebration of love, frolic, and colors.  The celebrations start on the night before with the Holika Dahan, where people perform rituals and pray before a bonfire, signifying the killing of Holika, the sister of the demon king Hiranyakashipu.

The next morning is celebrated as Dhulivandan or the colorful Holi when people apply colors on one another and have fun. Water balloons and water guns are used by children to play with each other. People visit relatives and neighbors and savor sweets and Holi delicacies.

Cricket fraternity too loves to play Holi and took to Twitter to wish their fans and followers on the occasion of the ‘festivals of colors ’
