Former India cricketer MS Dhoni reads the playing conditions very well. His cricketing experience of over 16 years shows when he speaks about the pitch and other factors affecting the game. 

When India was scheduled to play a Test match against Australia back in 2017, Dhoni had paid a special visit to the ground ahead of the match. He was checking the pitch for the match.

Now, in a viral video on social media, the 38-year-old was seen driving a roller on the JSCA pitch in Ranchi to help out the curators. Dhoni shares a good relationship with the JSCA stadium pitch curator Basu Da. 

One of the reasons why he has a good knowledge of pitch is because of his dedication towards reading them to perfection. The cricketer has spent time with the curators which helps him a lot.
