More than 100,000 people were present at the event, giving Trump a rousing reception in the world’s largest cricket stadium.

Trump began his speech, saying: “America loves India, America respects India and America will always be faithful and loyal friends to the Indian people.”

As the speech went ahead, the President spoke about Bollywood before moving on to cricket, mentioning the names of greats such as Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli. However, he was unsuccessful in pronouncing both the names.

Trump pronounced Sachin as ‘Soochin Tendolkar’ while he gave a shout out to the current Indian captain saying, ‘Virot Kolee’.

Subsequently, Twitterati started posting memes about Trump’s hilarious attempt in pronouncing the names of two Indian cricket legends.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan also joined the fun as he tweeted, “How are you today Sue Chin” and tagged the Master Blaster in his post.
