The World Cricket was once again divided, this time on the “Spirit of Cricket' after Afghan spinner Noor Ahmed ran out Pakistan’s non-striking batsman Mohammad Huraira during the 2020 ICC U19 World Cup Super League Quarter-final for leaving the crease while the ball wasn’t delivered by the bowler.
A similar incident happened during last year’s IPL when Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin Mankaded Englishman Jos Buttler in a match between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals. Ashwin faced a lot of criticism then from English media and cricketer James Anderson even shredded the spinner's photo.
After the recent incident of Mankading in U19 World Cup, Anderson again tweeted out asking, “Can we sort out (remove) this law please @ICC #MCC??”
To which the 33-year-old Chennai lad replied, “Law removal might need some deliberation!! A Shredder might do the trick for now.”

But it didn’t end here though as Anderson mentioned to a news daily about Ashwin's love for Mankad as he wrote, “I wonder why Ravi wants the law to stay! #lovesamankad”
The off-spinner, however, was quick to respond as he replied, “I am not taking the bait mate, my point was about the usefulness of a shredder and not the run-out.”
