IND v WI 2019: Twitter gets furious after Sanju Samson axed from squads for West Indies series

Samson wasn't given a single opportunity against Bangladesh.

BCCI announced the Team India squads for T20I and ODI clashes against West Indies starting December 6. They made a few changes in the sides which included the addition of spinning duo Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal in both sides.

The most talked change was the exclusion of talented Kerala batsman Sanju Samson. Selectors dropped him for the series despite picking him in the last T20I series against Bangladesh. Surprisingly, Sanju wasn't given a single opportunity and he still got axed.

India is persisting with Rishabh Pant at the moment. The selectors might have thought of adding someone else who may make it to the playing XI rather than Sanju. There was very less chance of Samson playing into the XI because of India's decision to keep faith in Pant.

But fans didn't accept this move. As per them, he should have been in the squad as a batsman. Fans showed their disappointment on Twitter and lashed out at the selectors and also Pant.

Sanju Samson must be a shattered man. One bunch of players keep getting back in the team or given the longest rope to perform & the rest of the players have to keep performing in domestic tournaments without any hope. This is bizarre.

Again Rishabh Pant is in the team for Both T20Is and Odis. Atleast in T20Is, he didn't merit a place after 2 bad Series vs Saf and Ban. But I think God and BCCI are very kind on him. Dropped Sanju Samson even without playing him. BCCI selectors are actually fools.#DropPant
