Andrew Flintoff was one of the most enigmatic cricketers who played the game. Though his career came to an early end due to knee problems, he left everyone with an amazing legacy that has ensured his place as a legend of the game.

His ability to turn games singlehandedly rivaled only that of Sir Ian Botham and his best moment in cricket came in the 2005 Ashes series at home, during the first Test at Lord’s when he troubled the best batsman during that period, opposition captain Ricky Ponting in one single over that defined Flintoff who he was.

That over remains memorable with everyone remembering it from Ponting to Flintoff himself, who decided to give a go at facing himself, or a 2005 version of himself here in 2019. Facing a bowling machine that was programmed to mimic his deliveries in that over to Ponting and even the all-rounder himself found playing those balls difficult.

Eventually, the last ball on which Flintoff had gotten the wicket of Ponting, the batsman hit it out of the ground for a six and exclaimed, “I've hit meself for six!”
