Hardik Pandya on Saturday (October 5) took a Twitter user to task after the latter posted an insensible comment on the Indian all-rounder’s back surgery update.

Pandya underwent a successful surgery to treat his lower back issue which has ruled him out of the game for an indefinite period.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, he shared a picture with the caption reading: "Surgery done successfully. Extremely grateful to everyone for your wishes. Will be back in no time! Till then miss me."

Commenting on Hardik’s post, a user named Abhishek Baxi wrote, “Surgeon: Aaj main karke aaya”.

The remark was in reference to Pandya’s statement on popular TV show ‘Koffee with Karan’ regarding his virginity.

Earlier this year, the Baroda lad had appeared on the chat show along with his teammate KL Rahul and said: "When I lost my virginity, I came home and said, 'Main karke aya hai aaj (I had sex today)'. At a party my parents asked me 'acha tera wala (women) kaun sa hai [who is your interest here?] so I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women)' and they were like 'waah proud of you beta'".

However, Hardik didn’t like the reply as he savagely retorted: “Thanks mr nobody !  Here is your 20 sec fame !!!”

Pandya last featured in the three-match T20I series against South Africa where he aggravated his back injury. He was not named in the squad for the ongoing three-Test series against the visiting Proteas side.
