Sachin Tendulkar was one of the finest batsmen to ever play cricket and is often considered to be at par with Sir Don Bradman. Even Sir Don himself admitted that Tendulkar’s style reminded him of his own playing days.
Tendulkar was a perfectionist and had to have things as he wanted. If the weight of his bat was off from even a gram, he would get it fixed instantly. He found different ways of practicing in nets in order to prepare for different bowlers ahead of his matches.

One story says that before the Test series against Australia in 1998, Sachin asked Laxman Sivaramakrishnan and Anil Kumble to bowl to him outside leg stump and help him practice hitting them against the spin and paddle sweep out of rough which he had created. All this effort was put in order to be ready to face Shane Warne for the first time in India on turning pitches.
Recently, Sachin Tendulkar shared a video on his Twitter showing him preparing for a match in an old fashioned way. He is seen taking throwdowns on a wet pitch with a puddle of water in front of him. He is seen hitting some ball and ducking under a few deliveries and even gets hit by one.
