Former Australia fast bowler Brett Lee is a man with multiple talents. Apart from being a fearsome bowler with speeds touching 150 kmph plus constantly, Lee is also a musician, an actor and also is a well-known cricket commentator.
He has appeared in a music video and sang a song with Indian singing legend Asha Bhonsle, made his movie debut in the Indo-Australian film UnIndian in 2016. However, his biggest moment of fame in the music industry came when he appeared on the Australian reality TV singing show, The Masked Singer Australia recently.
Lee appeared as a contestant on the Australian version of The Masked Singer as a Parrot to much of the amusement of his fans and even his children didn’t know it was him under the costume until he was unmasked.
Lee said in an interview with Daily Mail UK, “Walking out last night... it was scary. I'm claustrophobic. You put this thing on and it's so heavy, and you're in it for hours. You can't talk to anyone, there's limited water you can drink because you've got this big suit on, then you have to go out and smash this high note.”
He continued, “So my biggest fear wasn't the singing part - I mean, I was trying to stay in tune - but it was falling off the stage, my head comes off and I wreck the whole show.”
"I was watching with my family," he said, "I'm on a WhatsApp group with my family on both sides and they watched Monday night without me even telling them. So the whole family were texting saying, 'How good was last night?'"
He was voted off in the second episode of the show.
