Delhi Capitals (DC) advisor Sourav Ganguly has got himself in trouble after a 'Conflict of Interest' complaint was lodged against him. He is given the former India captain seven days to respond to the charges levied against him by BCCI ombudsman Justice DK Jain. Ganguly is currently the President of Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB).
“Yes, I have asked Sourav Ganguly to respond to the complaints with regards to Conflict of Interest as DC advisor and state association president,” Justice Jain told PTI on Tuesday. “He has been given seven days to file his reply.”
Earlier, Rahul Dravid had to give up his role as the mentor of Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in order to continue coaching the Indian U-19 and India A teams.
Cricketer-turned-commentator Sanjay Manjrekar has taken a dig at Sourav after the news broke out. Manjrekar tweeted, "I know of a great way to avoid any conflict of interest. Avoid greed."
The tweet was directed towards Ganguly. The fans on Twitter were not pleased with the shots fired by Manjrekar. They lashed out at him for his tweet.
