Former India cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is now a part of Congress, had made a comment defending Pakistan after the terrorist attack on CRPF personnel in Pulwama.
40 CRPF jawans were martyred in the attack. As soon as the news came out, Indians were filled with anger and Sidhu's comment wasn't appreciated by them.
Sidhu said, "For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?" He also said, "It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."
To teach the cricketer-turned-politician a lesson, fans asked The Kapil Sharma Show to sack him. Sidhu has been associated with the show from long; even when it was on a different channel with a different name.
