Veteran India batsman Suresh Raina is celebrating his 32nd birthday on Tuesday (November 27). Raina has represented India in 18 Tests, scoring 768 runs at an average of 26.48. He has one hundred and seven fifties to his name in red-ball cricket in 31 innings. The southpaw has played 226 ODIs and has amassed 5615 runs at 35.31. He also has scored 5 hundreds and 36 fifties from his 194 innings in the 50-over format.
Raina’s most prolific format though was the T20Is, in which he played 78 matches, scoring 1605 runs at an average of 29.18. He has notched up one hundred and five fifties in the shortest format. The stylish left-hander was the first Indian to score a century across all three forms of the game. The left-hander is also the first batsman to score 300-plus runs in all 11 editions of IPL.
As Raina entered in the 33rd season of his life, wishes poured in for him from the cricketing fraternity. From the teammates to the opponents, a lot of former and current cricketers made the occasion special for Raina with their heartfelt messages on social media sites.
However, one particular wish that drawn everyone’s attention was from Priyanka – wife of Suresh Raina. Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Priyanka posted a picture with a caption reading: “I love the music & you can sing so well, I love travelling & you can plan so well, I love to stay miles away from the kitchen & thank goodness you can cook so well. What else could I ask for? Wish you a very #happybirthday my love @ImRaina! Life wouldn’t be possible without you.”

Raina had married his lady love Priyanka Chaudhary on April 3, 2015. Raina and Priyanka were childhood friends and a secret wedding in Delhi tied these buddies together in the sacred knot.
While a return in the Blue jersey looks difficult, Raina will continue to don the yellow jersey for Chennai Super Kings in the 12th edition of Indian Premier League. He has put several memorable performances for the franchise in his long and esteemed association.
