Australian star spinner Nathan Lyon was vicious with the ball against Queensland. Playing for New South Wales in JLT Sheffield Shield, Lyon picked up 4 wickets in the first innings. His bowling not only exposed the opposition's mediocre batting against spin, but it also benefitted wicket-keeper, Peter Nevill, to showcase his brilliant gloves work too.
Nevill picked up two outstanding catches behind the wickets and one stumping on Lyon's deliveries.
One of the catch showed his quick reflection. Nevill is eager to be part of the Australian squad for next Ashes tour. "Everything going well, I’d love to be on that tour," Nevill said.
"It’s up to me to perform really well for the rest of the season. The only thing that gets you on those tours is performance."
New South Wales are defending 380 runs and they have already picked two of Queensland wickets. In both the dismissals, Nevill did the supporting role by taking the catch.
