Virat Kohli has found support after he was slammed for asking an internet heckler to go to another country for degrading Indian cricketers and liking foreign cricketers more.
His response was on his newly launched app to an Instagram comment where a fan said he doesn't like watching India bat. Instead, he enjoys players from other countries more than the men in blue. Kohli wasn't pleased with the comment, as expected, because the segment had only mean comments from fans.
"Okay, I don’t think you should live in India, then you should go and live somewhere else no. Why are you living in our country and loving other countries? But I don’t mind you not liking me, but I don’t think you should live in our country and like other things. Get your priorities right," Virat responded to the mean comment.
Is #Kohli asking his non-Indian fans to leave their country and come to India????????.. Or to sort their priorities? #WTF pic.twitter.com/tRAX4QbuZI

Being a huge personality in India, Kohli's comment went viral and became a national topic. From social media to television, his response was discussed. While some stood by him, others lashed out at him for being a bigot.
BJP MP Dr. Subramanian Swamy was among those who supported Kohli. He is asked media to stop targetting Virat for his comment which according to him wasn't wrong.
"What is wrong if Virat Kohli tells a questioner (who tells him that he enjoys watching foreign cricketers more that Indian cricketers) that he should migrate abroad? Both have freedom of speech. But media is slamming Virat Kohli only," he wrote in a tweet.
