India’s T20I skipper Harmanpreet Kaur struck a huge six off the penultimate delivery to secure a thrilling five-wicket victory for Lancashire Thunder against Surrey Stars in the KIA Super League (KSL) on Tuesday (July 31).
Harmanpreet, who was making her debut in KSL, remained unbeaten on 34 off 21 balls as the Thunders won their third successive match. Her knock was laced with three boundaries and a gigantic six.
Lancashire Thunder were needing 11 runs off the final over and they unfortunately lost Ellie Threlkeld in the second delivery. However, Kaur showed the nerves of steel and soaked the pressure by accumulating two runs in the third delivery before hitting a boundary in the fourth ball. She sealed the match by smashing a six over the mid-wicket region in the fifth delivery.
