Cricket fraternity wishes commentator par excellence Harsha Bhogle on his 57th birthday

Harsha Bhogle turns 57

One of the best commentators of our time, Harsha Bhogle celebrates his 57th birthday yesterday.

Hailing from a Marathi speaking family in Hyderabad, Bhogle received chemical engineering degree from Osmania University's College of Technology and Diploma in Management from IIM, Ahmadabad. His commentating career began at the age of 19 with All India Radio and in 1992, was the first Indian commentator to be invited by Australian Broadcasting Corporation for the Benson and Hedges World Cup in 1992. He then worked with BBC for the 1996 and 1999 World Cups.

He has also been commentating in IPL from 2009 and has hosted a variety of shows on TV and online platforms. Many consider him to be one of the best commentators in the world. Bhogle is also an author and published the biography of Mohammad Azharuddin and in 2013, conducted final interviews during Sachin Tendulkar’s final Test in Mumbai.
